'Allo 'Allo

This comedy farce was performed at Theatr Colwyn in November 2019.  Really funny play and script, to quote Colin Holmes the director "we are all normal human beings who occasionally dress up and pretend we are someone else we would like to be ........ not in the case of this play which is ridiculous.....". 


All Aboard
The Colwyn Abbey Tappers held a song and dance night with a natuical theme on 13 July 2019.


Pontypool
This short play by Tony Burgess was an unusual foray for us into the horror genre. We performed this on 28 June 2019.

Wing It Dusty
We performed this play by Teresa Hennesey at the Conwy One Act Play Festival on 30 March 2019.

Blood Brothers (Play Version)
We performed Willy Russell's classic play in November 2018.

Viva Las Vegas
In June 2018 Colwyn Abbey Tappers put on the glamour for a fun and colourful evening on dance and song.

The Zoo Story
We performed this remarkable play by Edward Albee at the 2018 Conwy Festival of One Act Plays.


The Cagebirds
We presented this darkly absurd comedy at the 2018 Conwy Festival of One Act Plays.


Rumours
To round off our 70th Anniversary year we presented Neil Simon's farce at Theatr Colwyn in November 2017. 


The Bald Prima Donna
We presented this absurd comedy at the 2017 Conwy Festival of One Act Plays and won Best Production and Robert Edwards won Best Individual Performance.


The Legacy
We revived 
The Legacy for the 2017 Conwy Festival of One Act Plays and the Leverhulme Drama Festival.

Ebenezer Scrooge
We presented the world premiere of this new musical by Colin Holmes and Peter Williams based on the Charles Dickens' classic 
A Christmas Carol in November 2016.

Around The World
Colwyn Abbey Tappers gave an international flavour to their 2016 cabaret show by taking the audience around the world. 


Blink and You'll Miss Me by Teresa Hennessy
This new comedy was entered into the 2016 Conwy Festival of One Act Plays. It was also part of a double bill with

Goodnight Mr Tom by Michelle Magorian and Gary Carpenter
We presented this musical version of Michelle Magorian’s award-winning book, regarded as a modern classic at Theatr Colwyn on 11 & 12 September 2015.


Slow Dropping Veils of Smoke by Marjorie Dickinson
This mysterious drama was one of our entries in the 2015 Conwy Festival of One Act Plays held at Church House, Glan Conwy on 24 & 25 April 2015.


What Have I Done to Deserve This? by Margaret Kynaston
We presented this comedy drama set at a Dusty Springfield convention as our second entry in the 2015 Conwy Festival of One Act Plays.

A Ring of Roses by Darren Vallier
The Young Abbey Players presented this musical set at the time of the Plague on 31 August and 1 September 2012.


Calling Time by Derek Webb
We presented this comedy on 24 March 2012 at Conwy Civic Hall as part of the Drama Association of Wales' One Act Play Festival. We presented it again at Llanrhos Old School and then at the Leverhulme Drama Festival in April 2012 at which Derek Owen won best supporting actor.

Tonto Evans by Frank Vickery
This hilarious comedy was presented at Conwy Civic Hall on 11 and 12 November 2011.


Two's A Crowd by Michael Legat
We presented this one act farce on 18 March 2011 as part of the Drama Association of Wales' One Act Play Festival. Sharon Huxley won Best Actor and Jayne Jones won Best Supporting Actor.


Spring and Port Wine by Bill Naughton
We presented this classic comedy by Bill Naughton at Conwy Civic Hall on 19 and 20 November 2010.

Disco Inferno by Justin Sepple
Our Youth Members presented this musical play set in a 1976 disco club at Conwy Civic Hall on 10 and 11 September 2010. Burn, baby burn

Blithe Spirit
We presented this improbable farce by Noel Coward at Theatr Colwyn on 15 and 16 January 2010.


An Abbey Christmas 2009
On 4 December 2009 the Colwyn Abbey Tappers got into the Christmas spirit with a cabaret at Colwyn Bay Football Club.

Their Scarves Were Red by Darren Vallier & Rob Sweetman
The youth members presented this funny and moving musical play at Conwy Civic Hall on 4 & 5 September 2009.


Disturbance by Colin Lawrence
This one act play was presented at Bryn Pydew Village Hall on 11 July 2009. It was followed by Cheese and Wine and a fiendishly tricky quiz.


A Slight Inconvenience by Margaret Kynaston
This play was our entry in the Drama Association of Wales' one act play festival held at Theatr Colwyn in March 2009. We won first prize with Sharon Huxley also winning Best Actor.


Dead Man's Hand by Seymour Matthews
We presented this thriller at Theatr Colwyn on 16 & 17 January 2009.


Strangers by Darren Vallier and Richard Lindfield
The Young Abbey Players presented this moving musical play at the Civic Hall in Conwy on 5 and 6 September 2008.


Stepping Out by Richard Harris
Stepping Out was the play that started our
Tappers section. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Colwyn Abbey Players we revived the show at Theatr Colwyn on 2 and 3 November 2008.

Our Day Out by Willy Russell
We presented this funny and moving play with music by Willy Russell on 7 and 8 September 2007. It tells the story of a school trip from Liverpool to Conwy castle. Our production was performed within sight of the castle in that beautiful Welsh town.


The Legacy
Our entry into Colwyn Bay One Act Drama Play Festival in March 2007 won first prize. Sharon Huxley won best actress as well so congratulations are in order.


A Taste of the 60s
We presented 
A Taste of the 60s on 20 and 27 January 2007. Featuring a revival of What Brutes Men Are and a musical trip down memory lane the show was well received and great fun to do.

They Came From Mars ......
Our successful production of this Farndale Avenue Classic was presented at St Paul's Church Hall on 27 and 28 October 2006.


Finger Lickin' Chicken and Chips Cabaret
On 14 July 2006 we did our cabaret show with a splendid Chicken and Chip supper at the Llandudno Junction Sports and Social Club.

Cabaret at the Cricket Club
On 2 June 2006 we did a little cabaret show with a barbecue at Colwyn Bay Cricket Club.


What Brutes Men Are by Constance Cox
In March 2006 we presented What Brutes Men Are at Theatr Colwyn as part of Colwyn Bay One Act Drama Festival.

An Abbey Christmas to You featuring Flint Street Nativity by Tim Firth

In December 2005 we presented the World Premiere of an adaption for the stage of 
Tim Firth's classic TV film.

Ration Books and Stockings
On 29 & 30 October 2004 Colwyn Abbey Players presented a tribute to the men and women of wartime Britain in a nostalgic Second World War extravaganza "Ration Books and Stockings".
